VDF or the Vanity Domain Flip, represents a milestone in empowering the community with full ownership of their container image infrastructure. This presentation will cover the history of the VDF project, which spanned roughly 2 years (from late 2018 to mid-2020). It’s a story of writing new tools, adapting some existing Release Engineering tools, and uprooting some overgrown dependencies! Google-side: security audit of the promoter and related infra and its impact to Google.
