Managing Diabetes with the Jamstack (OSS)

Jamstack is often considered a great solution for blogs and portfolios. But the fact is, we can do so much more. We can actually use Jamstack to develop feature rich apps! In this talk I will discuss how I created an open source Jamstack application that's designed to help diabetics manage blood sugars. We'll look at some of the services I used and how Serverless functions helped me deliver powerful functionality without a single web server in sight!

The post is about an idea I had to develop a web application that diabetics can deploy easily and use to assist with their treatment. My talk will show the audience that Jamstack is more than a way of developing “static websites”. I want the audience to see what they can achieve with a combination of services and tooling from the Jamstack ecosystem. I hope that my talk inspires the audience to go away and use some of these services/tools for their own ideas.
