Checklist for your Microservices before Production in Kubernetes

There are more and more services being developed and deployed onto Kubernetes platforms. This talk will focus on the small list of important things to check for your application before you turn on production traffic!

Ray was working on a project for 6-month and has been through all the preparation of a the staging and production environments. This session will discuss a couple of important things we did to prepare for production workload, including - including preparing the container images, applying security rules, configuring readiness and liveness checks, repeatable infrastructure, and more.

Ray is a Developer Advocate for the Google Cloud Platform and a Java Champion. Ray works with engineering and product teams to improve Java developer productivity on GCP. Ray also help Alphabet companies migrate and adopt cloud native architecture. Prior to Google, Ray worked at Red Hat, Accenture, and other consulting companies. Ray focused on enterprise architecture, managed solutions delivery, and contributed to open source projects. Aside from technology, Ray enjoys traveling and adventures.
